The “Ideas and Issues” blog is written by students taking a course in Advanced English Communication at Doshisha University, Kyoto, Japan.
This is a ‘student-centered’ course in which class members have the opportunity to vote for topics which they would like to discuss in class.
Posts should in some way be related to course content.
Images, videos and polls may be added to posts, though written text will generally be the primary focus.
Students are encouraged to write comments on their classmates’ entries.
Listening and other tasks may also be posted on the blog by the course instructor.
Non-class members are welcome to read and comment on our blog!
